Ensuring local consumers find your real estate when they search for services; you need to build an exciting Web presence for real estate marketing. Eighty-six percent of consumers use the internet to search for local real estate. An important key to successfully cover a Web presence is to have a strong Google Places page. Even if the consumers do not have your name, they will be able to find you. According to Google Places Help Page for Business Owners, you can help consumers find your local real estate by optimizing your listing with accurate and complete details. Google Places emphasizes accuracy.
Google Places help real estate marketing:
Google Places emphasized the following 3 categories:
- Make sure your listing is complete and accurate;
- Choose the most appropriate, specific categories for your business;
- Establish a strong, accurate presence on the Web.
Taking time to adjust and update the details can help you make sure every component of your Google Places Web presence is working for your real estate marketing. Google Places accentuates accuracy. Tiffany Monhollon shares some small details you should pay attention to:
- Spelling: Make sure every word is spelled correctly.
- Abbreviations: If your real estate name includes an abbreviation use it consistently across your real estate name mentions. Make sure you use abbreviations consistently in your physical address, e.g. Road, Lane, Trail, Avenue or Street.
- Periods: After your abbreviations, do you leave them hanging or add a period? Look out for alternating use of periods or hyphens within phone numbers. Pick your preference and be consistent.
- Dashes & Hyphens: There are different uses for dashes and hyphens. Hyphens go in phone numbers and some descriptive phrases like “Go-To Guy”. Whether or not you know how to use them properly, make sure you are using them consistently in your listings.
- Commas & Apostrophes: Make certain the comma in your real estate name is placed correctly. The apostrophe: before or after the “s”?
- Spaces: Spaces can be tricky and easily overlooked. Is there a space in your business name? Are there two spaces or one?
- Ampersands: Is it “Tile and Flooring” or “Tile & Flooring”? Use the character consistently.
- Special Characters: Double check any other special characters like parentheses or brackets.
GOOGLE PLACES REVIEWS are a major ranking factor in real estate marketing:
Considering the above factors it means that having a great Google Places page is more than having the correct and accurate information. It is important to have consistent listings across your entire Web presence, including third-party reviews. According to Google Places Help page: “Google improves search results by aggregating information about your real estate from all over the Web. Make sure information about your real estate on third-party sites is accurate: try to contact the respective site directly to correct any inaccurate information.”
